Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said the best charity is to give water. He also said to construct a well is Sadaqa al-Jaariya, an everlasting donation that rewards you or a deceased loved one continuously, even in the grave.
Providing fresh water to rural African villages often for the first time was very dear to Mawlana Shaykh Nazim’s heart! He launched this effort in 2010 and personally donated to it.

In 2010, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim sent me to find a man in Africa whom, through a series of miracles, we found in Ghana. His name is Shaykh Zakariyya and he told us, “When I was 14 years old, in my dream I saw a man with a very nice turban, blue eyes, and a long beard telling me, ‘You are my student and I will send you someone to give you baya`.’ Now I am 75 years old, still waiting for baya`. Every night that man comes in my dream, telling me what awrad to do the next day.”
He drove us to a city that had no fresh water; their drinking water was trucked in. He oversees a rundown orphanage that offers twelve classes, including Hifz al-Qur’an, Fiqh, and Shari`ah.
I called Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, who told me first to give Shaykh Zakariyya baya`, which I did. Then Mawlana said to give him 15,000 Euros he had sent with me to dig a well. Shaykh Zakariyya said, “We already drilled 100 meters deep and many groups tried with no success.” I told him Mawlana ordered it, so we must have faith!
He brought an industrial drill, we made dua, asked for Mawlana’s support, and began the task. Suddenly, at 40 meters depth water gushed into the street. Until today, that well serves the entire city of 200,000 Muslims for free. Such are the miracles and generosity of awliya!

Our outside-the-box service model is results driven, volunteer supported, and 100% donor funded.
