Fresh Water Initiative

Providing fresh water to rural African villages often for the first time was very dear to Mawlana Shaykh Nazim’s heart. He personally launched and donated to this effort in 2010 and HNCS is honored to continue his legacy. Read about the miracle that launched this initiative. Imagine this blessing. The entire village participates in construction and maintenance of a solid-wall well, built to last twenty years or more. The water is clean and everyone becomes healthier and free of water-borne diseases we will never know. Women/girls are no longer at risk fetching toxic water from far away, often in very dangerous circumstances. On average, each well serves 16-20 multi-generation households (100 people) at a cost of US $1100. In addition, donations made by US residents are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Click here for details.
