UPDATE: NAIROBI Site 2 Ramadan Kareem Food Drive 2017

Alhamdulillah, this year at our second Nairobi location, HNCS volunteers are cooking a minimum of three huge pots of rice/meat/potatoes daily, distributed to over 400 people for their families to eat at home, thus serving an estimated 1600 hot iftars daily. Following local custom, women and children are served first, then men. Insha’Allah if this is sustained throughout Ramadan, we will serve 48,000 hot iftars from this one site! Click here to donate hot iftars for orphans, war refugees and the homeless in Nairobi. To see results of our 2016 campaign, click here.

the last hour before Maghrib. Men wait in a separate area.

UPDATE Ramadan Kareem Food Drive 2017

Masha’Allah, your generous donations are feeding thousands of needy Muslims who might not otherwise have food for iftar/suhur. Alhamdulillah, we are operating on three continents. Fasting HNCS volunteers assembled food parcels at one of our Nairobi distribution centers today. The goal of this one location is to distribute 700 parcels this Ramadan.

FOOD PARCEL distribution offers the dignity of preparing food in the home and eating with family instead of waiting in line for a meal. PARCEL CONTENTS Flour 6kg, rice 2kg, sugar 2kg, cooking oil, dates, pasta, tea, salt, juice concentrate.
